Invincible is officially renewed for season 4, this time for real | SDCC 2024

Earlier this year, news seemed to leak that Prime's animated superhero series Invincible had been renewed for seasons 4 and 5. At the time, that news turned out to be false, but the good news is that half of it is now true: Invincible has now it has been renewed for a fourth season, this time for real.

This news came from a panel at San Diego Comic-Con that covered Prime Video's adult animation, including Hazbin Hotel, Foodtopia, Vox Machina, and yes, Invincible. Creator and executive producer Robert Kirkman took the stage and talked about the joys of working in animation and his excitement to see his comic turned into an animated show. He then talked a bit about the upcoming third season and teased the darker suit the titular hero will wear:

Kirkman concluded his segment by confirming that while he couldn't talk about a release date for Season 3 yet, it “won't be long now” before he can talk about it. He also confirmed that Invincible had been greenlit for Season 4.

Invincible wasn't the only animated series to get the green light. At the same panel, it was also announced that Hazbin Hotel would have a third and fourth season and that Sausage Party: Foodtopia would have a second season.

We're having a lot of fun with Invincible so far, giving Season 1 8/10 and Season 2 7/10 in our review. We say, “Despite its disjointed structure, Invincible's second season highlights its strongest elements long enough to leave a lasting impression.”
