“Kids ride free” offer introduced at Bute Park for Christmas

Parents are encouraged to plan for the Christmas season with a special summer offer for Christmas at Bute Park.

To mark the start of the school holidays, Christmas at Bute Park in Cardiff is offering a free entry for children initiative for a limited time this summer.

With more than 100,000 tickets sold in 2023, Christmas at Bute Park returns to Cardiff this November, featuring a new route with fresh installations from leading artists and designers.

To ensure that even more families can experience the festive magic, the organizers are also introducing the “Kids Go Free” program.

This plan allows families coming on weekdays (except Fridays) to bring two children at no additional cost.

From July 25, anyone who books an adult ticket for the 2024 Trail from Monday to Thursday evening can request two free children's tickets using the code BUTEKIDS.

Roxy Robinson, director of From The Fields, the organiser of the trail, said: “Many of us who work behind the scenes to bring Christmas in Bute Park to Cardiff every year have young families ourselves and we know only too well how difficult it can be to find fun and exciting activities for the children when they are at home for long periods during the school holidays.”

She added: “We can’t wait to open the doors for our event in 2024.”

New exhibits this year include Mycelium Network, a giant fibreglass structure made from festive mushrooms, and the light installation ‘Over The Rainbow’, designed by renowned light artists associated with Blenheim Palace and Coldplay.

Ongoing improvements and audience demand have led to the addition of popular Christmas hits in the Christmas Village, the event's food and beverage area.

Additional ticket offers and discount codes will also be introduced for the 2024 event.
