She continued: “At first my symptoms were just a bad sinus infection. Headache, stuffy nose and slight cough. Then I was super tired and slept all day, so I got tested.”

She said she was currently feeling “groggy” and admitted she lost her sense of taste and smell on Saturday. “It's bloody weird,” she added. “I ate a greasy cheese pizza and couldn't taste anything at all. WHAT A SIN.”

The rest of her family tested negative and she has been isolating herself until she is out of quarantine. Polizzi remains in good spirits as her family has been giving her roses and chocolate to show her some love during quarantine.

Commentators and colleagues Jersey Shore Actors such as Jenni “JWoww” Farley and Vinny Guadagnino wished her well. Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino's wife Lauren Sorrentino also wished her a speedy recovery.

Polizzi is part of the original Jersey Shore cast that debuted in 2009. She reunited with other cast members to Jersey Shore: Family Vacation in 2018, but left the series in season 4, which premiered in November 2020.
