Taylor Swift | Ice Spice is “incredibly confused” by American football

Taylor Swift helped teach Ice Spice about American football.

The 24-year-old rap star attended the Super Bowl in Las Vegas earlier this year alongside 34-year-old Taylor, but Ice admitted she still has limited knowledge of the sport.

During an appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” she explained: “I was incredibly confused. I'm still confused.”

Taylor began dating Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce in 2023 and traveled to Las Vegas in February to see him lift the Vince Lombardi Trophy.

Ice admitted that her showbiz buddy – who attended numerous Chiefs games last season – understands the sport much better.

She said: “That day I felt like I knew it, but it just disappeared.”

Reflecting on her own Super Bowl experience, the rap star added, “Honestly, I would just wait for Taylor to celebrate.”

Meanwhile, Patrick Mahomes, Travis' teammate, recently claimed that Taylor helped make the Chiefs a “worldwide team.”

In an interview with Time magazine, he explained: “[The Chiefs] from a nationwide team that was kind of global to a completely global, worldwide team. That came from Taylor's fan base.”

Despite her fame and success, Patrick was impressed by Taylor's down-to-earth nature and work ethic.

The 28-year-old sports star, who is one of the NFL's most famous players, said: “I've met a lot of famous people in my life. Taylor is probably the most down-to-earth person who has been on stage for so long.”

“She's always working. Even when she takes time off, she's working on something. She's making a music video, singing a song or writing a song. You can tell by the way she talks.”
