Vanessa Kirby and Pedro Pascal are among the stars in Marvel's “Fantastic Four”

Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, Pedro Pascal and Ebon Moss-Bachrach have been announced as cast members in the upcoming Marvel film “Fantastic Four”.

The comic story about a superhero team consisting of astronauts who develop special powers after exposure to cosmic radiation has been adapted into numerous films and television series over the years.

Marvel Studios posted a photo on its social media on Wednesday showing a cartoon depiction of the four actors in their respective roles.

The poster, which reads “Happy Valentine's Day,” shows the characters in their uniforms, with Pascal, 48, and Kirby, 35, holding hands and Moss-Bachrach, 46, reading a magazine.

Moss-Bachrach plays Ben Grimm, also known as “The Thing,” whose skin looks like it is made of stone.

The American actor is known for his portrayal of Desi Harper in the television series Girls and most recently starred in the latest season of The Bear, for which he received a Golden Globe nomination.

Bafta-winning Kirby, who recently starred as Josephine in Ridley Scott's Napoleon, will portray Sue Storm, also known as the Invisible Woman.

Chilean-American actor Pascal, who played Joel Miller in “The Last Of Us,” will take on the role of the elastic Reed Richards, known as “Mister Fantastic.”

The cast is completed by 30-year-old “Stranger Things” actor Quinn, who will play Sue’s brother Johnny – the Human Torch – who can control flames.

Details about the film have not yet been announced, but in the comics, the quartet are forever changed after an experimental space flight gives them special powers and makes them famous.

An earlier Fantastic Four film came out in 1994, followed by a reboot in 2005 starring Welsh actor Ioan Gruffudd, Jessica Alba, Chris Evans and Michael Chiklis.

They all returned in 2007 for “Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer,” where they learned that they are not the only superpowered beings in the universe.

In 2015, Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan and Jamie Bell starred in another Fantastic Four film, and animated series based on the comics have also aired over the years.

According to Marvel Studios, the new film will hit theaters on July 25, 2025.
