Everything sources, insiders and Travis Kelce himself have said about the engagement with Taylor Swift

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift have been together for almost a year (I'm rounding up, leave me alone!) and naturally some fans want to know when Travis will pull out his ring and propose to her.

The answer? It's nobody's business, to be honest, but that hasn't stopped everyone from talking about it. And when I say allI mean sources, insiders, friends and even Travis himself. And that several times!

What “sources” and “insiders” say

December 2023: Page Six spoke to a “source close to Kelce” who claimed Trav asked Scott Swift for permission to propose to Taylor. Um, “Scott was asked for his blessing and gave it wholeheartedly, and Travis has spoken to friends about a ring.”

January 2024: Page Six reported that “rumors are swirling around Swift's camp” that Travis and Taylor will get engaged in the summer, and that Travis only didn't propose on Valentine's Day because “they don't want it to look like rushed madness.” Her source added, “Taylor and Travis have talked about it and there is a plan. They will get engaged on their first anniversary in July.”

May 2024: An insider told Entertainment tonight on May 17 that “Taylor and Travis are amazing and their loved ones expect an engagement sooner rather than later. They are a great match, there's no doubt about it.”

But just a few days later, on May 21, a source told We weekly “Travis has no plans to propose to Taylor any time soon. It hasn't even crossed his mind. Marriage is a very serious matter for him and not something he would rush into without careful consideration.”

August 2024: Page Six Another source responded that “the engagement is happening soon,” although a spokesperson for Travis “denied” that there were any official plans. In addition, the source reported that they heard the “wife of a top Chiefs executive” “told friends in a suite” that Travis and Taylor were already engaged.

What friends and family say

Travis' mother Donna Kelce was asked about a possible engagement by CNN and said: “It's up to them whether they are happy. We don't know anything at the moment. I'm sure he would call me and tell me, but I haven't heard anything yet. The only thing you want for your children is happiness, nothing else matters.” Just a mom who cares about her children!

Meanwhile, Travis' Chiefs teammate Harrison Butker said bluntly: “I hope they get married and start a family.”

First, there was the time he was minding his own business at a Super Bowl press conference and a reporter (some would say cheekily) asked him, “Is there going to be another ring besides the Super Bowl ring if you win the thing on Sunday?” Travis' answer? “I'm focused on getting that ring and that's all I'm thinking about right now.”

Then Travis chatted in his podcast about NBA player Victor Wembanyama New heightsand after saying, “You can't tell me that guy wasn't made in a fucking lab over there in France. Lab-grown diamonds, that's a lab-grown fucking NBA player,” he said – in a slight whisper – “I can't wait until I make a fucking one.”

Note: Travis' brother Jason responded, “Don't do that. Please don't give the other conspiracy theorists any more evidence.”

And just recently (we're talking June 2024), Travis was asked by Jason Sudeikis when he was going to “make an honest woman” out of Taylor, and he simply answered the question with a smile.
