Taylor Swift | Taylor Swift leads MTV VMA nominees

Taylor Swift leads the list of nominees for the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs).

The 34-year-old singer, who won seven VMAs in 2023, has received a total of ten nominations, including eight for “Fortnight,” her collaboration with Post Malone.

Fortnite is competing for the Video of the Year award, which is considered the most prestigious of all. Taylor has actually won the award four times and could soon extend her own record.

The chart-topper released her latest album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” in April, while Taylor also toured the world as part of her Eras tour.

Taylor is also a contender for Female Artist of the Year, although she faces strong competition from Ariana Grande, Bad Bunny, Eminem, Sabrina Carpenter and SZA.

In addition, Post Malone has received no less than nine nominations, including in the categories “Video of the Year”, “Song of the Year” and “Best Collaboration”.

Ariana Grande, Sabrina Carpenter and Eminem each received six nominations, while rap stars Megan Thee Stallion and SZA each received five nominations.

This year's list actually includes 29 first-time nominees, including greats like Chappell Roan, Gracie Abrams and Jelly Roll.

Music fans can vote for their favorite artists on MTV.com until August 30th.

However, voting for the Best New Artist award – which includes Benson Boone, Chappell Roan, Gracie Abrams, Shaboozey, Teddy Swims and Tyla – remains open until September 10.

The MTV VMAs will take place on September 10th at the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York.
