The Museum of the Canvas of Jouy is a must on the fashion itinerary of the Heritage Travel 2024! A true jewel of textile history, it was created in 1977 to pay tribute to the emblematic printed fabric of the same name, created in the 18th century in Jouy-en-Josas, in the Yvelines region of France. This fabric conquered the world with its poetic universe of rural motifs.

In the heart of a charming castle, the museum offers a fascinating insight into the world of printed fabrics, the secrets of their manufacture and the great artists of the time. The collections illustrate the evolution of the Toile de Jouy over the centuries and constitute an invaluable heritage!
