James and Curry are set to face each other on Christmas

For the first time since 2018 LeBron James And Stephen Curry According to reports, a possible duel on Christmas Day is imminent.

The NBA schedule for Christmas Day includes five games, including James' Lakers against Curry's Warriors, Shams Charania from The athlete reported Thursday what will be the rivals' first meeting on the holidays since 2018. The 2018 game, which James left midway through due to a season-changing groin injury, averaged more than 10 million viewers – more than any Christmas game in subsequent years.

Assuming both are healthy, James and Curry will meet for the fifth time on Christmas, having faced each other four times in a row from 2015 to 2018. These four encounters are among the 10 most-watched Christmas games of the last 16 years.

The other Christmas games, according to Charania, are Spurs-Knicks, Timberwolves-Mavericks, Sixers-Celtics and Nuggets-Suns.

Charania hasn't announced air times for the Christmas games, but it's almost certain that Lakers-Warriors will air at 8 p.m. ET. The NFL has an afternoon doubleheader on Netflix at 1 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. ET, meaning 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. are the only time slots when the NBA won't face NFL competition.

His report also did not mention which networks were responsible for the broadcasts. Last season, only two of five Christmas games were broadcast on ABC because of the network's commitments to the NFL. Two years ago, ABC broadcast all five games.

Since their last meeting over the holidays, James has played against the Clippers, Mavericks (twice), Celtics and the Kevin Durant-era Nets on Christmas. The Warriors have played against Houston and Memphis (both without Curry), the Bucks, Suns and Nuggets.
