Dallas Mavericks play a rematch in the Western Conference final on Christmas Day

The Dallas Mavericks will officially play their fifth Christmas game in a row. Shams Charania of The athlete has announced its full Christmas game schedule and offers a pairing that Mavs fans can look forward to.

Dallas hosts the Minnesota Timberwolves on Christmas Day in a rematch of the Western Conference Finals. The two teams split Games 3 and 4 in Dallas in the WCF, while the Mavs won Games 1, 2 and 5 to advance to the NBA Finals. Marc Stein first reported earlier this week that this was a possibility, and it's now a reality.

The Mavericks have a 4-3 record overall in Christmas games, but have won their last two, including a 50-point, 15-assist Luka Doncic game against the Phoenix Suns last season. The NBA has loved putting Doncic in the spotlight on Christmas, and he usually rises to the occasion. With new teammate Klay Thompson, some speculated a game against the Warriors would be exciting, but a rematch against Anthony Edwards should be exciting as well.

Joining the Mavericks on Christmas Day are the New York Knicks, who host the San Antonio Spurs, the Boston Celtics, who host the Philadelphia 76ers, the Los Angeles Lakers, who travel to the Golden State Warriors, and the Denver Nuggets, who repeat their first-round series at the Phoenix Suns. It's a little surprising that the Milwaukee Bucks or Oklahoma City Thunder aren't included in these matchups.
