Shakira sings in a Valentine's Day post playback about the killing of an ex and his new girlfriend

Shakira celebrated Valentine's Day by seemingly poking fun at her ongoing drama with ex Gerard Piqué. The 46-year-old Colombian singer posted a funny video of herself in a black jumpsuit, bra top and high heels, mopping her kitchen.

In the clip, Shakira moves her lips to the chorus of SZA's “Kill Bill,” which is about killing an ex.

“Maybe I'll kill my ex, not the best idea/His new girlfriend is next, how did I get here?/Maybe I'll kill my ex, but I still love him/I'd rather be in jail than alone,” sings SZA.

Shakira ends the clip with a mischievous laugh into the camera.

The drama between Shakira and Piqué, the father of her two children, has been playing out publicly since their separation in 2022.

The 36-year-old football professional made his new romance with girlfriend Clara Chia Martí public after Shakira released a new breakup anthem called “BZRP Music Sessions, Vol. 53,” which, according to her fans, tells the story of her separation from Piqué after 11 years together.

In the English translation of the Spanish song, Shakira sings: “Good luck with my so-called replacement.” She goes on to say: “I'm worth two 22-year-olds. You traded a Ferrari for a Twingo. You traded a Rolex for a Casio.”

The lyrics are apparently a direct appeal to the FC Barcelona star, who is now in a relationship with 23-year-old Martí.

Days after the song’s release, Show news today claimed that Shakira raised suspicions of infidelity from Piqué after she noticed that her jar of strawberry jam had been eaten while she was away. The website claims that Piqué herself did not like the jam and neither did the children, suggesting that someone else ate it while she was away.

A moment in Shakira's April 2022 music video “Te Felicito” gives new impetus to this theory. In the video, she opens the fridge and finds the head of her collaborator Rauw Alejandro on a tray. In an interview for the British show This morning In the song, which was also considered a split track about Piqué, Shakira is asked why she is seen going to the fridge.

At the time, she replied, “So to find out the truth, I go to the refrigerator.”

As for Shakira's Valentine's Day plans, the singer spent the day with her bunny, posting a picture on her Instagram stories and writing, “My funny Valentine.”
