Fala Chen surprised fans with baby arrival

15 February – Fala Chen recently surprised many with the announcement that she gave birth to a baby girl.

The former TVB star announced the surprising news on social media on Valentine's Day, February 14, with a photo of three hands believed to belong to her, her newborn and her husband. She wrote, “The past 10 months have been a wondrous journey full of unknowns, amazement, love and lots of joy.” She added the hashtag #mylittlevalentine.

“As new parents, our hearts are full and we look forward to every day with this little lady,” she added.

Fala also shared another photo of herself during pregnancy – the only pregnancy picture she has shared on social media.

Friends and fans congratulated the actress in the comments, including her former colleague Linda Chung, who wrote: “[Oh my God!] You're a mom now! Congratulations! I'm so happy for you.”

Former partner Daniel Sit said: “Congratulations! I'm happy for her.”

Fala married her French husband Emmanuel Straschnov in May 2019. In a brief interview with the media, Fala revealed that her child was born in the last days of the Year of the Rat and was nicknamed Little Minnie.
