bullet for My Valentine have announced a 20th anniversary edition of their groundbreaking debut album “The Poison”.

The Poison is scheduled for release on November 29th. It has been remastered for vinyl and is set to be released on a range of limited and exclusive products.

Almost two decades after the release of the Welsh heavy metal band’s debut album, “The Poison” still seems like a perennial favorite.

The album reached number 21 in the UK album charts upon its release and helped BFMV to their meteoric rise, taking them from opening act for Fgeneral for a friend on their UK tour in summer 2005, ending the year as headliners at the same venues.

BFMV frontman Matt Tuck said of the upcoming reissue:

“I honestly can't believe it's been 20 years since The Poison was released, and what an incredible 20 years it's been.

“I'm so proud of what we've accomplished as a band over the last two decades, and it all started with this debut album.

“'The Poison' is such an important part of our lives musically and personally and we know what a huge impact it has had on the metal world on a global level.”

The new edition follows the announcement of a major arena tour together with Triviumwhich begins in the UK early next year before moving on to mainland Europe.

To celebrate the album's two-decade anniversary, The Poison has been remastered for vinyl and is set to be released on a range of limited and exclusive products.

A bespoke super deluxe box set contains the complete collector's edition of the album.

Presented in a bespoke box set with a removable lid, the 4-LP vinyl records include the track listing of the original deluxe album, the Hand of Blood EP, all bonus material and – for the first time on vinyl – the band's 2006 Live at Brixton performance.

In addition to the music, the box set includes new illustrations, a comprehensive and high-quality coffee table book, a four-part print set, a fold-out poster, an enamel pin, a bandana and a replica of a laminated AAA passport.

A deluxe double CD also contains the complete expanded music collection and comes with an artwork booklet, housed in a high-quality hardback book.

The album's core tracks are also available on a transparent red LP and a Zoetrope version, which displays the animations of the new album cover when played on a turntable.
