Mahmoud El Sherbiny gives whereabouts clues as 90 Day Fiance star returns to social media

Mahmoud El Sherbiny has been quiet since his arrest, but the TLC star is back on social media.

Mahmoud made his social media comeback this week after a months-long break.

The “90 Day Fiance” star went into hiding after being arrested for domestic violence.

He and his wife Nicole Sherbiny appeared at the beginning of season 8 of “90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?” but soon disappeared from the show.

Her absence was noted on “Tell All” and host Shaun Robinson promised to address it over the course of the five-part series.

Mahmoud and Nicole's storyline on Season 8 of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? ended on a bitter note when he threatened to divorce her and move back to his home country of Egypt.

90 Day Fiance fans are curious what happened to Mahmoud

Mahmoud had just arrived in America and was living in LA before her big fight with Nicole, but since then there have been questions about the whereabouts of the Egyptian-born man.

But now Mahmoud is back and is giving clues as to his whereabouts.

The 31-year-old African-born man uploaded identical posts to TikTok and Instagram on Sunday.

In his TikTok video, Mahmoud posed for a collage of photos in different locations.

In one snapshot, Mahmoud smiled as he stood next to a boat on the water, with palm trees in the background.

In a second photo, Mahmoud can be seen taking a selfie with a busy highway behind him that looks very similar to a street in LA.

In another photo of Mahmoud, he appeared to be posing in the desert.

Mahmoud did not caption the photos, but added music to the collage.

The most revealing detail in his video was the geotag he used to mark his location: Los Angeles.

Are Nicole and Mahmoud still together?

Nicole hasn't mentioned Mahmoud in recent months. However, in her Instagram bio, she still lists Cairo, Egypt and Los Angeles, California, possibly suggesting that she is still in a romantic relationship with Mahmoud.

Last month, Nicole published the first post on her Instagram feed since August 2023.

The fashion designer announced the grand opening of her store Maude and Aster.

Curiously, Nicole and Mahmoud do not follow each other on Instagram.

What does this mean for Nicole and Mahmoud's marriage? It is still unclear whether they have stayed together or decided to separate.

The fact that Mahmoud posted photos from LA could indicate that he and Nicole are trying to work out their relationship rather than him returning to Cairo.

The last time Mahmoud was seen in Egypt was in April this year during the Muslim holiday Eid al-Fitr, and Nicole was nowhere to be seen.

It's possible that we won't get any answers about Mahmoud's whereabouts or his marriage to Nicole anytime soon.

Between non-disclosure agreements and their alleged firing from the 90 Day Fiance franchise, Mahmoud and Nicole's relationship status and TLC presence remain in question.

Mahmoud admits he is no longer with TLC

Mahmoud pointed out his appearance (or non-appearance) on the network in a comment on his recent TikTok.

One of Mahmoud's followers commented: “Salam! I saw you're no longer on TLC but. Alhamdullilah it looks like you're doing well.”

In response, Mahmoud confirmed: “Yes, not anymore, alhamdulilah.”
