First trailer for Anna Kendrick's true crime film “Woman of the Hour”

The first trailer for Anna Kendrick's true crime film Woman of the hour was published.

The film is the directorial debut of Pitch perfect Star, and its premiere last year was a smash hit—it received perfect scores on Rotten Tomatoes (it has since dropped to 90%).

Woman of the hour tells the true story of serial killer Rodney Alcala (played by Daniel Zovatto), who was in the middle of a killing spree when he appeared on the television show and won The dating game.

The spooky trailer introduces us to Kendrick's contestant Cheryl Bradshaw, who meets Alcala on the show.

However, the mood becomes darker when she goes on a date with the serial killer and we are shown horrifying footage of him and his victims.

Bradshaw is then warned by an assistant before her debut on The dating game: “No matter what words they use, the question behind the question remains the same… which of you is going to hurt me?”

In a review The Daily BeastAuthor Nick Schager described the film as “a thriller based on true events that is also a scathing commentary on misogyny in society” and “as terrifyingly astute and clever as its deranged monster”.

“Kendrick’s sharp vision, which blends horror and humor with non-linear storytelling, makes for an unwavering debut,” added Meagan Navarro of Damn disgusting.

The comedy thriller was written and directed by New GirlIt's about Jake Johnson and is about a man who takes part in a game in which he has to survive a group of assassins for 30 days and find a gap that will allow them to attack him only when he is alone.

Then he finds another player (Kendrick) and they decide to spend every moment together to survive the game and win a million dollars.

Woman of the hour The UK release date has not yet been confirmed. In other territories, the film will be released on Netflix.
