Man arrested for alleged attempted murder in Los Banos

LOS BANOS, CALIFORNIA – Police in Los Banos have reportedly arrested a person on attempted murder charges in connection with a stabbing incident that occurred earlier this month.

Officers responded to a report of a stabbing in the 200 block of Mercy Springs Road on the evening of August 5, police said in a press release.

At the scene, officers reportedly discovered a male victim with numerous stab wounds.

Witnesses at the scene followed the victim's attacker, who fled on foot. The suspect was ultimately able to escape, but witnesses knew him by name and identified him to officers, police said.

Officers later found the suspect, whom they identified as Reginald Scott Grimes Jr.25.

Grimes was arrested and booked into the Los Banos Jail on suspicion of attempted murder.
