Crime spree suspect held in custody in lieu of $11.7 million bail

ANTIOCH — Francisco J. Hernandez, 23, of Antioch, remains in custody instead of 11.7
Million bail until a court hearing on August 27. Hernandez is alleged to have committed a crime
Rampages, including attempted murders, car thefts and animal cruelty.
Antioch police arrested Hernandez on August 8 for receiving stolen vehicles.
On August 12, he was arrested again by the Costa County Sheriff's Office for additional crimes.
Hernandez will be held at the Martinez Detention Center.
Hernandez certainly stood out. A patrol officer noticed a vehicle

An identity check revealed that Hernandez was wanted on two outstanding arrest warrants.
One arrest warrant was for attempted murder, the second for animal cruelty.
Hernandez is said to have committed several shootings and other crimes.
Hernandez is accused of shooting a dog on July 15. He is said to have shot at people
July 16, July 31 and August 1. Hernandez is charged with attempted murder and assault
with a semi-automatic firearm. His other charges include discharging a firearm, animal cruelty,
and vehicle theft.
