Center Point teenager charged with second murder

From Tribune staff reports

BIRMINGHAM, Alabama – A Center Point teenager already in the Jefferson County Jail now faces a second murder charge, according to BPD Officer Truman Fitzgerald.

Jaiden Davis, 19, has now been charged with the murder of 24-year-old Keenneth Royall, who was shot and killed in the 1200 block of 4th Avenue W. on March 16.

Davis was already in jail without bail when the second charge was filed against him; he had previously been charged with the murder of Jerry Edward Lewis, Jr.

Lewis, 43, was shot and killed March 11 in the Titusville community in the 10 block of 1st Avenue SW by a man wearing a ski mask.

On April 4, the Birmingham Police Department Crime Reduction Team arrested Davis at a Center Point apartment on a warrant for Lewis' murder.

Davis was later identified as a suspect in Royall's murder, and on July 29, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Davis in Royall's murder.
