Catholic priest in trouble for singing King Paluta's song at church wedding

King Paluta’s viral hit “Aseda,” which earned him the TGMA’s “Best New Artist of the Year” award, has landed a Catholic priest in trouble.

The priest, Reverend Father Peter Kusi Twumasi, made headlines after a video emerged of him singing the song at the top of his lungs during a wedding ceremony he officiated.

In the viral video, he sang the song while preaching forgiveness to the new couple.

Father Peter apologizes

While many fans of King Paluta's song were thrilled by the Reverend Father's gesture, his superiors were unhappy with his action.

In a letter sent by YEN.com.gh, The priest, who serves as the Rector of St. Stephen Rectorate, Bodomase in the Konongo-Mampong Diocese, expressed his sincere apology.

The letter addressed to the National Liturgy Commission states:

“I let my guard down and allowed a worldly influence to invade our sacred space. I now realize that my mistake caused offense and confusion, and for that I am truly sorry.”

Mentally handicapped man dances to King Paluta's hit

Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported that in a video circulating on the Internet, a mentally disabled man was seen excitedly dancing to King Paluta’s “Aseda.”

When he heard the song, the man stormed through the streets and danced with all his heart, impressing the spectators with his dancing skills.
