NFIB published the 11thth Issue of its four-year report, Problems and priorities of small businesses. Based on a nationwide survey of small business owners, the report provides a comprehensive guide to 75 topics and their impact on small business owners.

The survey revealed that these problems are at the forefront:

  • Cost pressures, such as the costs of health insurance, consumables/inventory,
  • Federal taxes on corporate income and
  • Uncertainty regarding the economic situation and government measures.

“Despite economic headwinds and challenges, small business owners are working hard to create new jobs and grow their businesses, but the threat of rising costs, taxes and uncertainty is giving Main Street businesses pause for thought,” said Holly Wade, executive director of the NFIB Research Center.
