Traffic control leads to the arrest of a drug dealer

PULASKI COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) – On Tuesday, Pulaski County Sheriff's Office officers arrested a man on multiple charges following a traffic stop.

Officers stopped the driver, Hudson Ramsey, and his passenger, Tony Collins, in Antioch Township.

Officers launched further investigations after allegedly seeing a small bag containing a white substance thrown out of the car.

During a search of the car, officers found approximately 40.3 grams of suspected methamphetamine, approximately 38.5 grams of suspected marijuana, a 10 mm Smith & Wesson pistol and a 5.56 Diamondback AR-15.

Both the methamphetamine and the marijuana were packaged in individual bags.

After further investigation, officers determined that the backpack containing the methamphetamine and the AR-15 belonged to Collins.

Collins was charged with trafficking in controlled substances, trafficking in marijuana, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.

Officials said the registration numbers on the car Rasmey was driving were expired and there was no insurance.

At the time of Collins' arrest, Ramsey was not charged, but the investigation is ongoing.
