The Voepass pilot struggled with the loss of altitude for a minute before crashing

The pilots of the airline Voepass (Voepass Linhas Aéreas) who died in a fatal crash in São Paulo, Brazil, tried to react to a loss of altitude for one minute before the ATR 72-500 impacted, according to local media.

TV Globo obtained access to the transcriptions of the flight recorder of the ATR 72-500 turboprop aircraft from the Brazilian Air Force's Center for the Investigation and Prevention of Aircraft Accidents (CENIPA) following the crash, in which 62 people on board died.

According to the news channel, the transcripts were about two hours long and the recording indicated that there was a sudden loss of altitude during the flight between Cascavel Regional West Airport (CAC) and São Paulo-Guarulhos International Airport (GRU) on August 9, 2024.
