Florida Turnpike near I-4 reopened after fatal pedestrian crash: FHP

According to police, one person was killed in a multi-vehicle crash on the Florida Turnpike in Orange County on Thursday morning.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the accident occurred at approximately 3:43 a.m. northbound on the Turnpike at mile marker 261, north of Interstate 4.

All northbound lanes were closed for hours while police investigated. The area has now reopened.

Evidence at the scene shows that the accident involved a 2024 Hyundai Kona, a 2022 semi-trailer truck, and a pedestrian. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
