MSU opponent loses key player to season-ending injury during fall camp

A Michigan State opponent lost a key player to a season-ending injury during fall practice.

ESPN insider Pete Thamel reported earlier this week that Indiana right guard Nick Kidwell suffered a season-ending knee injury. Kidwell started 34 games for James Madison and followed new coach Curt Cignetti to Indiana through the transfer portal in the offseason.

Michigan State football will host Indiana late in the season. The Hoosiers will come to Spartan Stadium on November 2nd.

Source: Indiana's Nick Kidwell, expected to start at right guard, will miss the 2024 season with a knee injury. Before transferring to IU, he started 34 games at James Madison and was expected to be a mainstay on Indiana's offensive line.
