According to the press release, the investigation revealed that Mount was in possession of a backpack containing the following items:

  • 50 blue M-30 pills, presumably fentanyl, hidden in a stapled paper package
  • Four small plastic packages containing methamphetamine, totaling approximately 7.74 grams
  • 10 Suboxone strips in original packaging, folded in a piece of paper (a strong narcotic used to treat opioid addiction)

Mount was taken to the Criminal Justice Complex and charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule II fentanyl with intent
  • Possession of Schedule III (Suboxone) with intent
  • Intentional possession of methamphetamine
  • Smuggling contraband into a prison

Following Mount's arrest on Monday and her arraignment on Tuesday, she was immediately terminated from her position at the Criminal Justice Complex. The sheriff's office noted, “We require the highest standards of conduct from all employees.”

Mount is scheduled to appear in court on September 12.
