Adams County man arrested for attempted murder in Maryland road rage incident

An Adams County resident has been arrested and charged with attempted murder following a road rage incident in Maryland in which shots were fired. Bryant Paradine, 37, of Littlestown, is charged with attempted murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and other offenses, Maryland State Police confirmed.

The incident occurred just after 7:30 a.m. on August 14, when Maryland State Troopers from the Frederick Barrack were called to southbound U.S. 15 at Tippin Drive. Although the victim was uninjured, troopers found bullet holes on the passenger side of her vehicle and found a projectile inside.

The attacker's vehicle, a maroon Chevrolet SUV with Pennsylvania plates, was quickly identified by the victim. Police found the vehicle shortly thereafter in the parking lot of a business in Thurmont, Maryland.

Paradine was found inside the store. When officers executed a search warrant on his vehicle, they discovered a loaded 9mm handgun and an associated shell casing. He was arrested and transported to the Maryland State Police Frederick Barrack for processing and is now awaiting a preliminary hearing.
