Former Lexington pastor charged with sex crimes

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – A former Lexington pastor accused of sex crimes has been indicted by a Fayette County grand jury.

According to an arrest warrant, 47-year-old Zachary King was arrested in July. The warrant states that King admitted to having a sexual relationship with a victim for a year and a half starting when he was 15.

According to Kentucky Attorney General Russell Coleman's office, King was the senior pastor of LexCity Church. King resigned from his post as pastor after facing allegations of an inappropriate relationship from church staff, the statement said.
