Second arrest in southwest Charlotte murder case

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) – A second person has been arrested in connection with a homicide in southwest Charlotte that occurred Sunday afternoon.

According to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department report, Aaron Remont Thompson was found dead in a vehicle on Caronia Street and another was taken to a nearby hospital with a gunshot wound.

Later that day, officers arrested Marcus Darel Watson and, after questioning, charged him with murder.

On Wednesday, 20-year-old Devone Javar Walker was arrested in Harrisburg. He was charged with aiding and abetting premeditated murder.
