Man allegedly hit family member and car on south side of Madison with baseball bat

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – Police arrested a man Monday accused of hitting a family member and a car with a baseball bat, Madison police reported.

Officers were told the man damaged a family member's vehicle in the 1000 block of Sunnyvale Lane on Madison's south side around 10 a.m. The report also stated the suspect struck his family member in the head with the bat.

According to MPD, officers knocked on the front door and reported that the suspect had been taken into custody.

The man is accused of first-degree reckless endangerment, serious bodily harm to an elderly person and damage to property.

Officers found the victim and reported that they administered first aid. Officers later transported the victim to a hospital.
