Police say motorcyclist dies in accident in Warren County

WARREN COUNTY, Ohio (WXIX) – Ohio State Highway Patrol officials say a motorcyclist was killed in a crash in Turtle Creek Township that is believed to have occurred Wednesday evening.

According to police, the accident occurred between 10:00 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. on Oregonia Road east of Waynesville Road.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Travis M. Wenzler was traveling east on Oregonia Road on a 2004 Honda motorcycle. As the motorcycle rounded a curve, it veered off the right side of the road and struck a traffic sign, causing Wenzler to be thrown from the motorcycle, troopers said.

The Warren County Engineer's Office found Wenzler on Thursday, but police said he was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to OSP, Wenzler was not wearing a helmet during the accident.

The cause of the crash is still being investigated.
