Illegal cattle trade: Three calves die after galloping accidents

Belagavi: Three Calves died on Thursday evening on the spot near Chikkabagewadi in Bailhongal taluk after gallop The vehicle carrying them overturned because the driver lost control. According to police sources, the vehicle was illegally transporting 12 cows, including calves, to Maharashtra. Immediately after the incident, the driver fled the accident spot. CPI Panchakshari Salimath and PSI Gururaj Kalburgi visited the accident spot along with personnel and rescued nine cows. The rescued cows were taken to a gaushala in Inchal.
