Three cars – a black Nissan Altima, a white Nissan Rouge and a BMW – were involved in the accident, police said.

Authorities said the black Nissan Altima, driven by an Uber driver, was traveling south on Kelly Drive and made an “illegal left turn” onto Reservoir Drive as traffic was flowing north, causing the crash.

According to police, the white Nissan Rouge struck the black Nissan Altima on the curve. The Nissan Altima then spun and struck the BMW, which was coming toward Kelly Drive, police said.

The 41-year-old man who died was a passenger in the Nissan Altima. He was taken to Temple University Hospital and pronounced dead at 4:02 p.m., police said.

The driver of the Nissan Altima, a 45-year-old man, was taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center with minor injuries. No other injuries were reported in the crash, police said.

The crash is currently being investigated.
