Viva Pictures will release Aniventure’s “Hitpig!” in November

Viva Pictures is the US distribution partner for Punch pig! and will release the film in theaters on November 1, 2024.

The film is based on the characters from the children's book Pete and Cucumbers from Bloom County Creator Berkeley Breathed, comes from the British production company Aniventure, which previously Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank And Riverdance: The animated adventure. Animation provider is Cinesite (The Addams Family 2, Iwájú, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem).

Along with today’s announcement, a new trailer for the film was released:

Punch pig! is directed by two industry veterans: Cinzia Angelini, a feature board artist who also directed the independent short film Milaand David Feiss, creator of Cow & Chicken and Director of Hunting season: scared to death. The film was produced by Adam Nagle and Dave Rosenbaum, with the latter also writing the screenplay with Tyler Werrin. Isabella Summers of Florence & the Machine composed the score.
The official summary:

Hitpig is a clever bounty hunter pig who catches lost animals and returns them to their owners. His next assignment is his biggest yet: to return a dancing elephant named Pickles to a crazy Las Vegas showman for a million dollars. The mission quickly escalates into a wild adventure around the world. When danger threatens, Hitpig must save the day, but he can't do it alone. He learns that some things are more important than a paycheck, and finds the greatest prize of all: friends.
The voice cast includes Jason Sudeikis as the titular bounty hunter Hitpig, Lilly Singh, Rainn Wilson, RuPaul, Flavor Flav, Hannah Gadsby, Anitta, Lorraine Ashbourne, Andy Serkis, Charlie Adler and Shelby Young.
Viva Pictures, which recently introduced a two-for-one-price offer for children, has been gaining ground in the US by releasing CG-themed family films. This year, the company has already Dragon Keeper And Epic Tails, and will also publish 200% Wolf And Scary girl in 2024. Victor Elizalde, CEO of Viva Pictures, said of this latest acquisition:
