‘Caring’ 25-year-old Limerick woman who died after tragic collision to be buried

A young woman from Limerick who died in a car accident is to be buried.

Hannah Frawley, 25, of Caherelly, Grange, died on Sunday 11 August.

A ceremony to celebrate her life will be held at St. Michael's Church, Denmark Street, on Friday 16 August at 12 noon, followed by burial in Caherelly Cemetery.

She was a passenger in a car that was involved in a single-vehicle accident on the R503 in Drominboy, Lisnagry, on 30 July.

The driver, also in his twenties, and Ms Frawley were both taken to hospital for treatment.

Since the sad news was announced, numerous messages of condolence have been pouring in for Ms Fawley, who was described as a “talented” and “caring young girl”.

“It is so heartbreaking that Hannah is no longer with us. I had the pleasure of growing up with Hannah in Laurel Hill Colaiste and will never forget how kind, warm, talented, humble and genuine she was. Hannah was also such a funny girl, you always left a conversation with her with a smile on your face. Hannah, we will miss you very much. I feel honored to have known you. “My deepest condolences go out to Hannah’s family and friends,” said a childhood friend.

The entire school community of Laurel Hill Coláiste FCJ extends its sincere condolences to Ger, Liz, Luke and all of your extended family on the passing of Hannah. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time. Hannah will always be remembered as a kind, gentle and caring young girl who embodied the ethos of companionship. “Suaimhneas síoraí dá hanam,” one person paid tribute.

“My sincere condolences to Hannah's family on her passing. I worked with Hannah a few years ago and she was such a wonderful person who was always smiling. Rest in peace Hannah, may you have the best bed in heaven and continue to smile and take care of your family,” wrote a former colleague in his eulogy.

Mrs Fawley leaves behind her parents Ger and Liz and her brother Luke.

She also leaves behind her grandmother Kathleen, her brother Luke's fiancée Ellen, her partner Chase, uncles, aunts, other relatives and friends.

The Gardaí have again searched for witnesses to the incident.

“Road users with camera footage (including dashboard cameras) travelling on the R503 road near Lisnagry, Co Limerick, between 7.45pm and 8.45pm on Tuesday 30 July are asked to please make this footage available to the Gardaí.

“Anyone with any information is asked to contact Henry Street Garda Station on 061 212 400, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station,” a Garda spokesman said.
