Two people charged after drug raid on Thursday | News, Sports, Jobs

ELLICOTT – Two people have been charged following a drug raid this morning on Bentley Avenue in Ellicott.

Demetrie D. Williams, 24, and Tayler J. Treadway, 28, were charged after two adults and two children were found at 2892 Bentley Ave., Ellicott, when members of the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force and Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at 5:50 a.m. today with assistance from the Jamestown Police Department SWAT team.

Treadway, Utegg and two children were found in the apartment where investigators found 6.5 grams of crack cocaine, 1.7 grams of cocaine hydrochloride, a digital scale and packaging material. During the search, Williams entered the apartment and was arrested under the search warrant. William was searched and found in possession of 12.2 grams of crack cocaine and $116.

Williams was charged with two counts of third-degree unlawful possession of a controlled substance and two counts of unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. He was taken to the City of Jamestown Jail, where he was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment. Treadwell had a warrant out of the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office for third-degree unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and he was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment.

The investigation is ongoing and further charges are expected.

Jamestown Police were assisted by the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office, Ellicott Police Department, Dunkirk Police Department, Chautauqua County Tac Meds and the Jamestown Fire Department.
