Two people were taken to jail after officials raided a suspected drug house on Wednesday and found enough fentanyl to kill nearly 20,000 people, authorities said.

The Collier County Sheriff's Office said the home on 44th Terrace SW in Naples is across the street from a neighborhood park where children play.

Maikel Raul Felipe Bernal, 42, and Yusbelkin Clemente-Vega, 39, were booked into the Collier County Jail on charges of trafficking over 28 grams of fentanyl. Bernal is also charged with possession of methamphetamine.

Officials said officers found 318 fentanyl tablets in the home that were labeled “M 30” to resemble real prescription tablets containing 30 mg of oxycodone hydrochloride.

The fentanyl weighed 34.1 grams and could potentially kill 17,050 people.

Investigators discovered methamphetamine and $13,380 in cash in the apartment. They also confiscated $6,000 in cash when Bernal was arrested. Investigators said the way the money was organized and its denominations indicated it was connected to drug transactions.
