Ten U.S. soldiers from Naval Air Station Fallon were flown to Reno, Nevada, after sustaining injuries in a training accident Thursday evening, local reports said.

Two MH-60S Seahawk helicopters from Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 12 were involved in an incident at Fallon Airfield on Thursday, Naval Air Forces Commander Beth Teach told USA TODAY.

The ten sailors suffered injuries that were not life-threatening, Teach said.

They were in two helicopters that landed at Pickett Park in Reno around 9:15 p.m., KRNV reported. Fallon is in the Nevada desert, about 62 miles east of Reno, near the California border.

Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno told KTVN that the 10 soldiers were being treated there, but did not confirm their condition.

USA TODAY has reached out to Reno police for more information.
