Two men behind bars for drug offenses

PITT COUNTY, NC (WITN) – Jail records show two men are behind bars for drug offenses, drug trafficking, and other charges.

Limited information is currently available, but Pitt County Jail records show that Lexter Wright and James Swinson Jr. are behind bars for a total of 12 drug offenses. Swinson faces another arrest for fleeing and eluding for violating traffic and automobile lighting laws.

According to arrest warrants obtained by WITN, both men were arrested Wednesday by North Carolina Department of Public Safety Alcohol Enforcement officers.

Swinson, 32, is from Farmville and Wright, 34, is from Greenville.

Wright and Swinson are charged with two felony counts: trafficking in cocaine, passion for cocaine, possession of cocaine, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, possession with intent to sell/deliver cocaine, and possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver a Schedule II controlled substance.

Swinson is behind bars on $260,000 bail, Wright is behind bars without bail.
