“Ketamine Queen” arrested over Matthew Perry’s death

Jasveen Sangha, the “Ketamine Queen” of North Hollywood, is in trouble after the death of Friends Actor Matthew Perry, who drowned on October 28, 2023 after taking a large dose of ketamine in his home.

This week, five people were arrested and charged in connection with the death of Matthew Perry, including Sangha and another alleged dealer named Eric Fleming, two doctors named Mark Chavez and Salvador Plasencia, and Perry's assistant Kenneth Iwamasa.

“These defendants exploited Mr. Perry’s addiction problems to enrich themselves,” said U.S. Attorney Martin Estrada.

Sangha, a 41-year-old British and American citizen, appeared in court wearing a bright green Nirvana sweatshirt and pleaded not guilty. Prosecutors allege Sangha played a central role in Perry's drug supply chain and supplied Perry with the ketamine that ultimately led to his death. She was denied bail and remains in custody. Her trial is scheduled to begin in October.

Prosecutors allege that Sangha was part of a larger criminal network and that her North Hollywood home also served as a drug distribution center. There, investigators found more than 80 vials of ketamine and thousands of other pills, including methamphetamine, cocaine and Xanax.

Sangha lived a decidedly lavish life, which she showcased on Instagram. According to the Daily Mail, she attended high-profile events such as the Golden Globes and the Oscars and took trips to Japan and Mexico shortly after Perry's death – all while being linked to ketamine trafficking and another case of ketamine-related death.

In 2019, Sangha was reportedly contacted by a family member of a deceased client named Cody McLaury. In response, investigators claim, Sangha then searched online to see if ketamine could be listed as the cause of death. Not a good picture!

Now the so-called “ketamine queen” could face a minimum sentence of ten years, or a maximum of life imprisonment.
