Fort Wayne man accused of sexually assaulting and impregnating 12-year-old accepts settlement

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – A 35-year-old Fort Wayne man accused of impregnating a girl during a five-year sexual abuse spree agreed to a plea deal Friday that will see him receive a 30-year prison sentence.

Aloysius Reese was charged with two counts of child molestation and sexual abuse in April 2023 after the victim came forward, stating that the defendant sexually abused her between the ages of 10 and 15.

The girl said Reese impregnated her when she was 12, according to an affidavit filed by Detective Nicholas Keefer of the Allen County Sheriff's Department. She did not tell anyone who the father was because she feared Reese would hurt her.

The victim's baby was later put up for adoption.

Reese's plea deal calls for a sentence of 30 years in prison in exchange for dropping the second charge of child abuse and sexual misconduct, with a lesser charge being dropped.

The defendant's sentencing is scheduled for September 4.
