Ramel Henderson, Kevon Jackson, Melvin Morris and Dominique Franks were charged with conspiracy and aggravated assault in armed combat and pleaded not guilty before DC District Superior Court Judge Jennifer Di Toro on August 16.

Henderson, 20, Jackson, 24, Morris, 26, and Franks, 23, are charged for their alleged involvement in a stabbing at the DC Jail in the 1900 block of D Street, SE, on October 25, 2023, that left one person injured.

According to court documents, parts of the attack were captured on video footage from a prison security camera. In the footage, a person named Franks can be seen walking toward the shower area where the weapon used in the attack was found.

Court documents state that a doctor who treated the victim found a sharp object on him and reported it to a correctional officer.

The next hearing in the case is scheduled for November 1.
