When will the Absolute Brackets be released at the 2024 ADCC World Championships?

The 2024 ADCC World Championships will be full of incredible matchups, but the Absolute Bracket offers something unique. The Absolute Division is characterized by its open weight format, which allows competitors of any weight class to compete against each other.

This leads to incredible unpredictability in these matches, where sometimes a smaller competitor can go up against a larger one. The Absolute division has showcased the versatility and skill of the world's best wrestlers, producing legendary champions such as Gordon Ryan, Felipe Pena and defending champion Yuri Simões.

As the gold medal bouts come to a close midway through the competition on Sunday, August 18, athletes will self-enroll or be selected to compete in the Absolute Bracket. A total of 16 athletes will be selected for the men's division and eight for the women's division. The women's Absolute Division will be held for the first time since 2007.
