Baraboo resident faces multiple drug charges after officers execute search warrants

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – A Baraboo resident is facing charges after Sauk County Sheriff's Office officers executed multiple search warrants on properties in Baraboo, Sauk County.

Authorities said Tuesday's search included a home in the city of Fairfield, a commercial property in the city of Baraboo and a storage building in the city of Baraboo.

According to officials, the search was carried out in connection with ongoing drug investigations involving the trafficking of cocaine and other drugs.

During the search, the officers reportedly found the following items:

  • Illegal drugs
  • A large number of firearms
  • Evidence of drug trafficking

The 37-year-old was arrested and taken to the Sauk County Jail.

The suspect is charged with possession of more than 40 grams of cocaine with the intent to resell, possession of a Schedule 2 narcotic with the intent to resell, money laundering and maintaining a drug trafficking location.

The Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigations was one of several agencies assisting the Sauk County Sheriff's Office in this investigation.
