Series of burglaries in NYC: Police arrest suspect in 40 robberies in Queens, Brooklyn and the Bronx

ELMHURST, Queens (WABC) – Police have arrested a suspect in connection with a series of break-ins at 40 stores in Queens, the Bronx and Brooklyn.

They say they are still looking for other people involved in the series of robberies that began in mid-March and mostly targeted laundromats.

Jose Montenegro, 39, of Harlem is accused of criminal possession of stolen property.

A new video released Friday shows two masked assailants removing an ATM from a deli and loading it into a waiting SUV.
