Barcelona push for underdog's return from injury to sanction exit – report

Barcelona's young striker Ansu Fati is on the road to recovery and according to reports from AS journalist Javier Miguel, his rehabilitation is going well.

It is hoped that he will be given the green light to return within the next two weeks, a timeline that is crucial as it coincides almost with the end of the summer transfer window on August 30.

This situation leaves Barcelona with only a small window of time to make a decision about his future, as Sevilla are showing great interest in the player.

Barcelona is working on his return

Due to this situation, Barcelona's medical team are working hard to ensure Ansu is ready to play before the transfer window closes. Their aim is to have him fully fit within the next two weeks, just in time for potential transfer negotiations.

It is worth mentioning that Ansu sustained an injury to the sole of his right foot during a pre-season training session. While the club initially kept the details vague, it was later revealed that the injury was plantar fasciitis.

This type of injury can be particularly difficult because recovery time can vary greatly depending on the severity of the case – from just three weeks to as long as three months.

Barcelona wants to part ways with Ansu Fati

Meanwhile, one must remember that Hansi Flick has given the green light for a possible departure of Fati.

Barcelona urgently needs to accept salary cuts, especially since new signing Dani Olmo is still not registered.

If the club also manages to sign a reinforcement for the left wing – be it Nico Williams or Luis Diaz, both of whom are strongly discussed – Ansu could find himself in trouble, which would complicate his situation even further.
