Qadir Ismail has a good chance of making the Ravens' 53-man roster

Qadir Ismail started out as a fantastic story this spring. He's a former quarterback turned wide receiver and the son of a former Ravens starter who won a Super Bowl with the franchise. Signed as a rookie free agent after a minicamp tryout, Ismail is thriving after switching positions again, this time to the tight end position.

It will be a challenge for Ismail to earn a place in the squad, but he has a good chance and continues to make progress.

Ismail was initially invited to try out for the rookie minicamp and was added to the 90-man roster at the start of Organized Team Activities.

As a converted quarterback, he moved from Villanova to Samford University and made a total of 16 catches for 156 yards in two seasons as a wide receiver.
