Taylor Swift fan who survived accident wants to meet to get 'strength to carry on'

Taylor Swift fan Aubrey Bogacki, the only survivor of a July 20 car crash that killed her father and two siblings, “has to” meet the “Soon You'll Get Better” singer – even if it's just for “five minutes.”

This is the latest goal of Jamie Ward, founder of the non-profit organization Jamie's Dream Team, who is already helping the injured 11-year-old fulfill her dream of seeing Swift in concert by giving her tickets to the Eras Tour.

“We need to get Taylor Swift to meet this girl,” Ward, 37, tells PEOPLE exclusively, adding that it would be “remarkable” if the 14-time Grammy winner chose Aubrey as the recipient of the coveted black fedora she gifts to a select fan at each tour stop while performing “22.”

“Oh my God, my heart would be so full. This must be the last piece of her puzzle… “It's important to keep going and have the strength to keep going,” Ward says of Aubrey, who will attend Swift's show in Indianapolis on November 3.

This show will air more than three months after Aubrey was hospitalized following the accident in Slippery Rock Township, Pennsylvania, that killed her father, Nathan Bogacki, 44, her sister, Emma, 17, and her brother, Grant, 13.

Aubrey spent 19 days in a hospital where she was treated for neck injuries, a broken arm, a collapsed lung and other injuries before being released home on August 8, where she will continue her physical and emotional recovery alongside her mother, Nicole Bogacki, and other loved ones.

Ward, who first met Aubrey on August 2 while she was still in the hospital, presented Aubrey with tickets to the Eras tour and tickets to Disney World on the day she returned home.

“We woke her up from her nap and told her,” Ward recalls, adding that Aubrey was “so happy” to get the tickets. “Her smile, just her smile, when we told her, lit up the room, and her reaction – the look in her eyes – was exactly what I was hoping for, especially given the circumstances she's in.”

When Ward asked Aubrey why she liked Swift, the girl answered like a true Swiftie. “She told me that there is a meaning behind each of Taylor's songs,” Ward explains. “That's true. Taylor Swift relates to families. Every young girl, every woman can relate to her. And she writes songs to build a relationship with her fans.”

Ward, who founded Jamie's Dream Team in 2005, says the nonprofit has fulfilled more than 30,000 dreams nationwide, including Aubrey's.

A GoFundMe page set up to help the family pay medical and funeral expenses has raised more than $175,000 as of Friday, August 16.

“We hope that they have at least one moment of happiness before the holidays,” Ward says of the Bogacki family's grieving process. “To give them hope, to give them strength to keep fighting, to keep feeling, to show them that people care about them and that they are not alone.”
