3 injured in street shooting in Fort Lauderdale

FORT LAUDERDALE, Florida. – Three people were injured in a shooting early Saturday morning in Fort Lauderdale, police said.

A bullet-riddled black car was found in the area of ​​West Cypress Creek Road, near Powerline Road and North Andrews Avenue.

According to Detective Ali Adamson, a spokeswoman for the Fort Lauderdale Police Department, police and firefighters responded to the scene at around 5:05 a.m.

According to Adamson, firefighters found three victims with life-threatening injuries and took them to Broward Health Medical Center under red alert.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives also responded.

Police officers closed West Cypress Creek Road between Powerline Road and North Andrews Avenue, urging drivers to use Commercial Boulevard and West McNab Road instead.

Adamson asked anyone with information about the shooting to call 954-828-5700. The ATF asked anyone who knows someone who uses a firearm in crimes or supplies weapons to felons to call 1-888-283-8477.
