WI vs SA 2nd Test: West Indies team in trouble, South Africa has a lead of more than 200 runs

Providence. With the help of half-centuries from Aiden Markram and Kyle Verreynne, South Africa built a 239-run lead on the second day of the second Test match against West Indies. South Africa, which scored 160 runs in the first innings, scored 223 runs for five wickets in the second innings by the end of the second day's play. The West Indies team had been bowled out for 144 runs in the first innings.

Markram scored 50 runs while Warren is playing after scoring 51 runs. Playing with him is Wiaan Mulder after scoring 34 runs at the other end. Earlier, Jason Holder played an unbeaten 54-run innings for West Indies. He shared a 40-run partnership with Shamar Joseph (25) for the tenth wicket to take West Indies close to South Africa's score. South Africa's team is ahead by 239 runs. In such a situation, West Indies could be in trouble. They need to bowl South Africa out quickly. The third day's play begins today, August 17, at 7:30 pm.

The first day saw 17 wickets and the second day saw eight at Providence Stadium. Wiaan Mulder took four wickets for South Africa. Jaden Seals, who took three wickets in the first innings for West Indies, has so far taken three wickets for 52 runs in the second innings. The first match between these two teams in Trinidad was affected by rain and ended in a draw. After the two Test match series, three T20 International series will be played between these two teams.
