KNIGHTDALE, N.C. (WTVD) – A Wake County man was arrested in connection with a shooting in Knightdale that left one person injured.

Knightdale police said the shooting occurred Tuesday evening on Clay Hill Drive. When officers arrived, they found 22-year-old Michael Ervin suffering from a gunshot wound.

Investigators said 20-year-old Da'Won Debose of Zebulon drove to Ervin's home for a prearranged meeting. At some point, Debose pulled out a gun and shot Ervin in the hip.

According to police, Debose turned himself in to officers on Friday without incident. He is accused of armed robbery and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and grievous bodily harm.

Knightdale Police Chief Lawrence Capps confirmed that Debose and Ervin are cooperating with investigators.

Debose is being held without bail at the Wake County Detention Center.
